went for supplier's visit at Kluang in JB w my sup n some other pple from logistics & procurement. was very enriching cos i nv had a chance to see how wooden pallets were made from scratch! (embarassingly, i had no idea wat a wooden pallet was before IA, oops!)
due to the flooding, we had to take an alternative route which was at least 10km more. but LUNCH WAS FANTASTIC!!!! :D the deep fried bun w curry sauce was HEAVENLY! paiseh to take more cos i was w my colleagues, else would haf like grabbed a few more haha! the pork ribs cooked with stout was yummy as well! yummy yum yum! :)

went to visit another wooden pallet supplier after we're done w e 1st. was q sad to see the working conditions of the pple there - no ear plugs, safety gloves, safety boots & safety goggles. and they were working with air guns (to manually nail the planks) in a noisy environment where there was a lot of particles in the air (fine sawdust). and that makes me tink tt i shdn't complain so much when i'm decked out in my PPE - at least i'm protected and my safety is taken into consideration!

met very interesting characters there, esp the lady boss who was sub-contracted by the 2nd wooden supplier! amazing how she single-handedly runs the whole place: from bidding for timber, to getting workers from overseas, handling orders from customers and logistic issues! no wonder she drives a BMW haha! a very very positive person. lots to learn from her attitude!
food there was great of cos! ( n free!!!) n i spotted a really cute mosquito catcher: it sucks the mosquitoes in.

i'll take this visit as my holiday overseas! hahaha! other pple want to c oso no chance lo! :D
photos will be shown when my engineer sends me e fotos!
